I was born with a passion for interior spaces. I used to spend hours drawing floor plans and imagining ways to improve my childhood bedroom. I often rearranged my childhood home and asked my parents to paint my walls or buy me new decor. I believe I was designed this way by source and this is my life’s purpose.

My love for spaces led me to pursue an education in Architecture at the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2005. However, after a year there I switched my focus to Psychology and Spanish and returned to my home state of Minnesota. In 2013, I reignited my passion for design and pursued a degree in Interior Design from the University of Minnesota, and graduated in 2017 with a BS in Interior Design and a minor in Product Design.

After working in the corporate world for less than a year, I made the decision to become a full-time Stay at Home Mom. In 2020, my husband encouraged me to obtain my real estate license, and due to my background in design and passion for homes, I became a licensed REALTOR®. Together my husband Marcos and I founded our business, Milagro Homes Real Estate + Design LLC, where we specialize in helping people buy, sell and invest in real estate.

I believe that everyone deserves to live in a balanced space where they can thrive. That is why I decided to start Kirsten By Design, to assist those who are in need of a different kind of change. I am not your average interior designer, I focus more on energy and creating harmony so that my clients can live a better life. My background in interior design brings a unique perspective to my work, where I can blend aesthetics with a more spiritually balanced interior.
