House Hacking

So many of our clients are interested in House Hacking so we dedicated a special place in our website to talk about our experience. In 2018 we bought a duplex in NE Minneapolis. We saw potential in this property because it had room for equity in the basement, and only needed minor improvements on the main levels. We lived in one side and rented out the other while we renovated the property and updated it to "BRRRR" it. BRRRR stands for Buy Rehab Refinance Rent Repeat. This is a method investors use to pull out equity in their property and invest it into another property. "House hacking" is when you live in one unit of an investment property and rent out the other(s). This allows you to have your mortgage paid and ideally even have cash flow. Here is a list of what we did to this property and also some before and after photos. Feel free to call or email us if you would like to know more about our experience!
